Middle Tennessee State University, in its educational programs and activities involving students and employees, does not
discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, or sex as required by Titles VI and VII of the civil Rights Act of
1964, as amended in 1972. Furthermore, MTSU will comply fully with Executive Order 11246 and any other Executive
Order(s) amending or superseding such order; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; the Age Discrimination and
Employment Act; the Veterans Readjustment Act; and legislation prohibiting discrimination against disabled individuals, Sections
503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act.
Sexual harassment has been held to constitute a form of sexual discrimination prohibited by Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, and Title IX of
the Educational Amendments of 1972. Students, employees, and others who desire information or clarification pertaining to the
application of these acts or regulations of them should communicate with the Director of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative
